Karber Miller

The NHFCS is pleased to announce the National Athlete of the Week, for Division 1, is Sophomore, Karber Miller, of Oklahoma City Legion . Karber laid claim to the Oklahoma prep football passing record, Friday night by passing for 366 yards in the 1st half of their game against Hennessey High School.
Picture
Hennessey Eagles is a perennial state tournament team who was expected to hold the Legionaires to single digits, but the Homeschool upstart team left Hennessey (7-1) struggling to come out with a win. If not for a couple devastating turnovers resulting in points the other way, OKC Legion might have accomplished the biggest upset of the year, in division 1.
Nearly 1200 yds of total offense was tallied up, with Karber passing for 460 of them.

Other performances of honorable mention include:
  • Senior, Cameron Branch, Oklahoma City Legion
  • Junior, Tanner Metzdorf, of Christ Prep
  • Junior, Davis Cousar, of Anderson Cavaliers
  • Senior, Graham Barton, of Landmark Christian
  • Senior, Zihao Barton, of Landmark Christian
  • Senior, Jonathan Lampani, of Grand Valley
  • Senior, Arek Moslander of CHEF Baton Rouge

This week's rankings update reflects some very significant game results and begins to demonstrate the likely seedings in some postseason showdowns.
Also Note: some teams were removed from the rankings because they did not meet the roster reporting requirements in a timely manner.
They may be added when they complete the NHFCS requirements to post full and accurate rosters to their Maxpreps page.
Accountability is a key component in credibility and as homeschool athletes we seek to demonstrate the accountability which keeps and protects the integrity of the success we've earned on the field.
We've outlined a simple and effective way to protect the reputation of hard earned success by silencing many common rumors which inevitably harm successful homeschool athletics. Read more, here...

The season's rankings are still showing significant movement, this week. 8 of the top ten teams saw their position change.
But throughout the national list there is some very strong movement.
This week we instituted an annual 'cleanup' of teams whose win-loss reporting does not meet the mandatory threshhold.
When their reporting gets caught up, they will be reconsidered.
