FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
National Player Of The Week
The National Homeschool Football Championship Series (NHFCS) is pleased to announce the player selected as the National Player of the Week - Division 1 for the 7th week of the 2013 Season!
National Player of the Week - Division 1 honors for the week of Oct. 19th goes to Kodey Maxwell, of the Elkhart Christian Eagles.
Kodey & the Eagles grabbed hold of Howe School and with all they had. In a close to 300+ yard passing performance, Kodey went 12 of 15 for 362 total yards, the longest of which was 57 Yards. While the 5 TD's through the air were impressive in their own right, the handful of times Kodey carried the ball, his play was electric. In only 6 touches, Kodey went for 59 yards with a long of 30 and rumbled into the end zone once... giving him 6 total TD's for the game!
Thanks to Kodey, the game was dominated from the start and when the final horn sounded, the Eagles hung 94 on the Howe Cadet Wildcats... who were held scoreless in the lop-sided affair. The victory was Elkhart Christian's 7th of the year with a season record of 7-4. The Eagles are currently ranked 9th in the NHFCS North Region.
The NHFCS is a national organization that seeks to combine the thrill and excitement of competing for a true championship ranking; the commitment to football excellence that requires championship preparation & performance; as well as an unapologetic positive encouragement for young men to pursue the greatest causes for God's glory.
